Intermittent, Single Lane Closures for Bridge Auxilary Truss and Floorbeam Upgrades
There will be intermittent, single lane closures on the Hood River Bridge beginning October 2, 2017. These closures will likely last through October 16, 2017. The closures could last up to 30 minutes.
The closures are to prepare for extensive upgrades to the critical support trusses. Minnesota-based Abhe & Svoboda, Inc is performing the work. After work platforms are in place, Abhe & Svoboda will perform repairs to the Hood River Bridge auxiliary trusses and floorbeam. The repair work will be under the bridge and will not require lane closures while the work is performed. There will be a period when they need to move the work platforms, which may require future lane closures.
Again, travelers should plan for up to 30-minute delays for single lane closures between Oct 2 through Oct 16, 2017.
And stay tuned, the planned intermittent single lane closures are subject to change; in fact, they have changed consistently after similar announcements.
